Every Saturday through September you can join Central Park Tango for enchanting evenings of dance at the Shakespeare Statue. The atmosphere is casual, inviting everyone to enjoy the music, the dance, and the romantic setting of Central Park at sunset. It's an experience you won't want to miss!
Central Park Tango, a group of local and international dancers and spectators, have been meeting each summer since the mid-1990's. The event is organized by passionate volunteers sharing their love of Tango for decades. Contributions help cover costs and support this unforgettable summer tradition!
* Free Lessons: Beginner lessons start around 7pm
(Dance Level: All levels welcome, from beginners to experts... No partner needed)
* Admission: Free or Pay what you wish
* What to Wear: The dance floor is paved with stones, so wear comfortable shoes. (Chalk is provided to make shoes more slippery for easier dancing.)
