For Ellinor tango is an improvisation, a meaningful wordless communication. She took her first tango steps in 2002 and was deeply fascinated by the dance from her very first lesson. She emersed herself in Buenos Aires in 2005 and 2006, and trained in tango for six months. She returned during spring 2010 for more training and to perform in the tango shows at Practica 8 and El Gardel del Medellín.

Since 2010 she's been performing and teaching worldwide. Her travels have included Sweden, Moscow, Amsterdam, New York, Denver, Washington D.C, Bucharest and more. Ellinor has become a familiar face at many festivals and is an active teacher of tango throughout Europe. She has also become an integral part of Tangokompaniet based in Malmö, Sweden since 2007.

With elegance and a dynamic expression, she wants to inspire others to dance tango with feeling. As a teacher she strives to give her students awareness of their bodies and a better understanding of techniques which will help them find a beautiful flow of movement and the joy in tango!

Her inspirations include: Julio & Corina, Moira & Gaston, Ariadna Naveira, Geraldine Rojas, Sebastian & Roxana, Pablo & Noel, Sebastian & Mariana.

She joins us at Dance Manhattan for the first time with workshops in 2012.
