Fran Chesleigh’s [Class Schedule] [Event Calendar]

Fran Chesleigh has been a ballroom dance professional since 1959. Over the years, he has taught for the Dale and Fred Astaire chains, and for Stepping Out. Fran has been affiliated with Dance Manhattan since its inception helping develop the school's dance curricula.

Fran is the producer of the well-received AMC television special "Gotta Dance" which featured, many social dancers from the New York scene. He was the Dance Director for the Stardust Dance Productions, which sponsors an ongoing series of highly successful social dance weekend events in well-known resort areas.

Fran is also actively involved in conducting dance workshops around the country in his specialties -- Paladium-style Mambo, Roseland-style Fox-trot, Savoy-style Lindy Hop, Peabody, and Salon-style Argentine Tango.

After Dance Manhattan closes it doors on Nov 22nd, Fran will be continuing his classes, private lessons, and Tango Practica at Pearl Studios, 500 8th Ave.
