Mark Stuart Eckstein, winner of the prestigious Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Choreography for Swing! and The All Night Strut, was also nominated for the LA Stage Ovation Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his performance in Swing!. He has performed on Broadway, at Carnegie Hall, and around the world with the national and Japanese tours of Swing! He has co-directed, choreographed, and supervised numerous productions of Swing! that have received critical acclaim.

Mark’s other credits include Cats, West Side Story, Miss Saigon, Grand Hotel, The All Night Strut, Swango…The Fusion, and the All-Star Tribute to Dudley Moore. He has assisted three-time Tony winner Hinton Battle, appeared in several feature films, as well as choreographed and performed in music videos and PBS specials.

Mark is a two-time American Lindy Hop Champion, North Atlantic Swing Dance Champion, and three-time US Open Swing Dance Championship finalist. After studying music composition and finance at Syracuse University, Mark found his true love in the world of theatre and dance. He has taught various forms of partner dancing at workshops and dance camps throughout the world, but considers Dance Manhattan his home.
